We have different skin types and colours, concerns and goals, and some habits that are not skin-friendly – all of which the way our skin behaves, reacts or ages. And with endless and skincare options out there, understanding and finding the right plan can be a little bit of a minefield.


If you have mild skin concerns or you’d like to feel more confident in your skin but you’re unsure where to start, a free personalised skin consultation with a specialist practitioner or nurse at sk:n can help you gain a deeper understanding of your skin, and which treatment and skincare programmes will get you to the best skin of your life.

What happens in the skin consultation


Our aim is to find out what you love and don’t love about your skin, if you have any particular skin  and what your skin goals are. We  that with a full skin and assessment, so we can create the right treatment and skincare plan for you.


During your consultation, we’ll remove makeup or from so we can fully examine your skin, including the texture, thickness and colour which could concerns such as acne or . Your skin will also be examined under a skin scanner, which can indicate if your skin is healthy, dehydrated, oily, congested or has sun damage. We will take your before photos, so you can see your progress throughout your plan.


We’ll then discuss your daily and skincare and treatment plan to get the best results for you and your skin. We may recommend a number of  including peels, or Hydrafacial, and to use at home.  on your goals or the of your skin concern, we will refer you to a doctor or specialist nurse. And if you are interested in injectables as a solution to the signs of ageing, we can also refer you to a doctor or nurse prescriber too.


To secure an appointment, we will require a deposit. Your credit or debit card details will be against your . Virtual consultations are free of charge to a £25 deposit. In-person consultations are priced at £50. Please refer to our for more information.

Ideal for those with mild to moderate skin concerns including mild acne, congested skin, open pores, pigmentation, dull skin and mild signs of ageing, or for those who are simply just unsure where to start. Your skin will be fully  for a number of skin concerns, your skin goals will be assessed, and your personalised treatment plan will be recommended. If you have more pronounced skin concerns that require a doctor or , we may refer you, and can also refer you to a nurse or doctor for .


To secure an appointment, we will a . Your credit or debit card details will be secured against your . For Practitioner or Nurse consultations we take a fully (subject to terms) deposit of £25 and £50 for Doctor led . Please refer to our for more information.


Your skin consultation lasts around minutes. This will allow the practitioner to fully assess your skin and your skin goals, discuss your and create a recommended plan.


The is completely free, but we do a £25 to secure your . You won’t be charged if you attend your appointment, or you cancel or move your appointment over 48 hours before your in line with our  policy.​


The cost of your and/or skincare plan will be during your consultation, but treatment can start from £59, on your clinic.


Your consultation will be with one of our experienced specialist nurses or practitioners with extensive of the skin. Should you have a more severe skin concern, they can also refer you into a doctor or  if you need to see one. Please note these consultations with a doctor or are chargeable and do require a refundable* – please check the consultation price before booking. We can also refer you to a doctor or nurse prescriber for an   if you are about the signs of ageing. We will ask you to come makeup free, but feel free to bring some with you to put on after the if you wish.


Our expert skin practitioners will ask a of which are to help them create the best plan of action to tackle your skin . For example:


You can wear makeup to your appointment, however, we recommend that you come makeup free so that we can spend the maximum amount of time assessing your skin. We cannot fully examine your skin with makeup on as we need to assess the texture, thickness and colour which could indicate concerns such as acne or sensitivity.


Step 1 – We will have a chat with you about everything you don’t love about your skin, whether you have any particular and what your goals are to help us create your personalised plan.


Step 2 – Before photos will be taken, us to track your throughout your treatment plan.
