Everyone’s skin is different.


We have skin types and colours, concerns and goals, and some habits that are not – all of which impacts the way our skin behaves, reacts or ages. And with endless and skincare  out there, understanding and the right plan can be a little bit of a minefield.


If you have mild skin concerns or you’d like to feel more in your skin but you’re unsure where to start, a free personalised skin consultation with a specialist practitioner or nurse at sk:n can help you gain a deeper understanding of your skin, and which treatment and skincare programmes will get you to the best skin of your life.

What happens in the skin consultation


Our aim is to find out what you love and don’t love about your skin, if you have any  skin concerns and what your skin goals are. We combine that information with a full skin examination and assessment, so we can create the right treatment and skincare plan for you.


During your consultation, we’ll remove makeup or from so we can fully examine your skin, assessing the texture, thickness and colour which could indicate concerns such as acne or . Your skin will also be under a skin scanner, which can indicate if your skin is healthy, dehydrated, oily, or has sun damage. We will take your before photos, so you can see your progress  your treatment plan.


We’ll then your daily and monthly skincare and treatment plan to get the best results for you and your skin. We may recommend a number of options including peels, microneedling or Hydrafacial, and skincare to use at home. Depending on your goals or the severity of your skin concern, we will refer you to a doctor or specialist nurse. And if you are in injectables as a to the signs of ageing, we can also refer you to a doctor or nurse prescriber too.

Frequently asked questions


Book a General skin analysis and consultation skin with a nurse or practitioner. Ideal for those with mild to skin mild acne, congested skin, open pores, pigmentation, dull skin and mild signs of ageing, or for those who are simply just unsure where to start. Your skin will be fully examined for a number of skin concerns, your skin goals will be assessed, and your personalised treatment plan will be . If you have more pronounced skin concerns that require a doctor or , we may refer you, and can also refer you to a nurse prescriber or doctor for .


To secure an appointment, we will require a deposit. Your credit or debit card details will be secured against your . For Practitioner or Nurse consultations we take a fully (subject to terms) deposit of £25 and £50 for Doctor led consultations. Please refer to our for more information.


Your skin lasts around minutes. This will allow the practitioner to fully assess your skin and your skin goals, your concerns and create a  treatment plan.


The consultation is completely free, but we do a £25 deposit to secure your . You won’t be if you attend your appointment, or you cancel or move your appointment over 48 hours before your in line with our  policy.​


The cost of your treatment and/or plan will be during your consultation, but treatment can start from £59, depending on your clinic.


Your will be with one of our specialist nurses or practitioners with of the skin. Should you have a more severe skin concern, they can also refer you into a doctor or  if you need to see one. We will ask you to come makeup free, but feel free to bring some with you to put on after the consultation if you wish.


Our expert skin practitioners will ask a variety of which are designed to help them create the best plan of action to tackle your skin concern. For example:

Step 4 – Our expert will create a personalised plan for you, which could both treatments and an at-home product regime. We may recommend several including peels, microneedling, laser treatment or Hydrafacial, and skincare to use at home. If you have a more severe concern, such as cystic acne, we will refer you to a doctor. If you are interested in injectables to boost your confidence, we can also refer you to a doctor or nurse prescriber.
