What is the FUE hair transplant?
stands for Follicular Unit Extraction and is an innovative which involves making tiny entry points in the scalp to extract the hair follicles from the donor area. These follicles are harvested and are then implanted into the treated areas.
This method of hair restoration is minimally and is performed under local anaesthetic. The trauma to the scalp is minimal due to the fine instruments that are used. There is also no linear scarring involved making the procedure almost undetectable; with other hair transplant procedures such as FUT (Follicular Unit Transplant), a linear scar is left across the back of the head making this procedure more noticeable.

Do I need to shave my hair before a hair transplant procedure?
When you undergo the FUE hair transplant procedure you are required to shave around the treatment area as well as at the back and on the sides. The hair can be shaven before you arrive at the clinic for your hair transplant procedure, or we can shave it for you before the procedure is due to take place.
We can offer partially shaven hair transplant procedures where only a small section of the donor area is shaved.
